BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A man was arrested after he allegedly fired shots at a patrol vehicle in east Bakersfield on Saturday morning, according to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.
According to KCSO, 47-year-old Bennie Finley was arrested after there were reports of shots fired in the area of the 1300 block of Pacific Street around 10:47 a.m.
A KCSO patrol vehicle was reportedly traveling northbound on Haley Street at Pacific Street when a suspect fired two rounds toward the deputies in the vehicle, but the bullets did not strike.

Evidence of a shooting at additional vehicles and inhabited dwellings was found in the area, KCSO said.
Finley was arrested for two counts of attempted murder, shooting at an inhabited dwelling, unlawfully possessing a firearm or are in a class of people prohibited from owning a firearm, assault with a firearm, felon in possession of a firearm, and ammunition and other gun charges.
