City to hold virtual town hall on land use

The public can participate in a virtual meeting Tuesday on land use alternatives as part of the city of Bakersfield’s process of updating its general plan. A general plan is the city’s guide for community growth, housing, transportation and quality of life and guides land use decisions made by the City Council, Planning Commission and city staff, according to a city memo. It looks at goals for the next 20 years.
