BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A motorcyclist has died following a crash Wednesday afternoon east of Bakersfield, according to the California Highway Patrol.
According to CHP’s Traffic Incident Information Page, the crash happened on Edison Highway near Towerline Road at around 1 p.m. It was not immediately clear what caused the crash, but the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Kern County Coroner’s Office will identify the motorcyclist at a later time.
