19 arrested following saturation patrol in NW Bakersfield: KCSO

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Nineteen people were arrested Wednesday following a saturation patrol in northwest Bakersfield, according to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.

On Jan. 31, KCSO deputies with the Metro Patrol Division conducted a saturation patrol in the area of Olive and Knudson drives. The sheriff’s office said it had received numerous complaints from residents and businesses in the area regarding the use of narcotics in public, theft, stolen vehicles, trespassing and other quality-of-life concerns.

2 sentenced in Lamont teen’s shooting death

According to deputies, 19 people were arrested on charges ranging from trespassing, active warrants, narcotics-related offenses and possession of a stolen vehicle.

Deputies assigned to the Work Release Unit, along with Kern County Code Compliance and Kern County Animal Control, assisted in cleaning the area of debris.
