Downed Trees From Strong Winds Cause Damage to Vehicles, Homes in Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif., Feb. 1 (KNN) — Strong gusty winds downed trees resulting in damage to vehicles and homes in areas of Bakersfield Wednesday night.

Multiple callers reported the incidents to authorities Wednesday evening and into the night. No injuries were reported from any of the incidents covered by Key News Network, but damage was clearly visible on video.

The first location captured on video is from the 500 block of F Street at 6:46 p.m. where Bakersfield police officers and firefighters responded to a large tree that had fallen and appeared to have damaged a home. The second location is in the 3500 block of South H Street at 10:08 p.m. for another downed tree blocking the roadway.

The third location in the video was at approximately 8:12 p.m., in the 1100 block of Barlow for a downed tree onto an SUV.
