Coroner rules teen’s death on Provincetown Ave a homicide

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The death of a 14-year-old boy shot last month in southwest Bakersfield has been ruled a homicide.

Coroner’s officials say Jayden Henry Marvin Jackson was shot in the neck by another person on Jan. 12 on Provincetown Avenue, north of Panama Lane and east of Ashe Road. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The shooting was reported shortly before 6:30 a.m. Police on Thursday said an investigation was ongoing.
