Police search for 2 suspects who allegedly stole vehicle from gas station in east Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Bakersfield police are searching for two people who were allegedly stole a truck from a gas station in east Bakersfield.

BPD said the auto theft happened on Dec. 17, 2023, around 4:09 p.m., when a suspect exited their vehicle and allegedly stole a green Toyota Tacoma from the Chevron gas station in the 10 block of Union Avenue.

Officers released photos of the suspects and suspect vehicle. The first suspect is described as a man wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt over a black shirt, light colored shorts, white socks and dark colored shoes.

The second suspect is describe as a woman with red hair who last seen wearing a red long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans and tan boots.

Both suspects arrived at the gas station in a gold Lexus with damage visible on the passenger side doors.
