The quake’s epicenter was located 32 km southeast of Bodfish, CA, at coordinates 35.394°N and 118.224°W, with a depth of 4.9 km. The seismic event occurred at 5:06 p.m., triggering a temporary stir among local residents.

While the earthquake registered a noticeable magnitude, it is considered a relatively minor event, and the lack of reported damage indicates a lower likelihood of significant impact on the affected areas. Residents in the vicinity may have felt the ground shake, but there is no cause for immediate concern.
