BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) – The Wish Kid is supposed to be the one who comes away from her special day full of joy and fulfillment, satisfaction and triumph. The Wish Kid, as she’s called, is supposed to be the one who makes memories that last a lifetime.

Funny thing is, when the Make-a-Wish Foundation grants a wish, the Wish Kid isn’t necessarily the only one who beams with happiness. The Wish Kid isn’t the only one who feels the love.

When 10-year-old Mia Rizk was crowned princess for a day, complete with carriage, royal court, and grand ball, she wasn’t the only one who was filled with gladness and delight. The wish granters were too.

People like Dena and Jeff Mojo.

“Even though it brings joy to Mia,” said Jeff Mojo, “it brings joy to every one of us.”

Mia’s father, Magued Rizk, said the guests couldn’t help but reflect Mia’s joy.
