BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — On Friday, you will have another chance to show the generosity and Spirit of the Golden Empire.
The annual Hook and Ladder BBQ is set for Friday, Feb. 9 at Compassion Corner right outside the KGET studios at 22nd and L Streets in downtown Bakersfield.
For just $10, you can get a delicious lunch with a hamburger, chips, a cookie and water. Organizers said the event is rain or shine on Friday. You can grab lunch until supplies run out.
ADAKC raises $30K for new transportation program
All proceeds will go to the Bakersfield City Firefighter Burn Foundation and the Kern County Firefighter Burn Survivor’s Trust.
You can place a group order for 10 or more lunches by calling 283-1701, or you can pull up to the lot at Compassion Corner between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
