Man found shot to death in H St lot identified

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A man who was found dead last month in a lot in an H Street lot has been identified and Bakersfield police are investigating the his death.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Juan Antonio Arreola, 40, of Bakersfield.

Case dismissed after standoff suspect found incompetent

Arreola was found dead just before midnight on Jan. 31 in a lot in the 2500 block of H Street, according to the coroner’s office. The coroner said Arreola died of a gunshot wound to the chest and his death was a homicide.

Bakersfield police said Thursday, Arreola’s killing is under investigation and no arrests have been made.
