BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Bakersfield College Pantry is hosting a special event where the community can get their hands on fruits and veggies for no cost.
On Feb. 20, The Bakersfield College Renegade Nexus and Pantry is aiming for another Farmer’s Market at the Campus Center to provide students and others with healthy food. The event, beginning at 10 a.m., is expected to be busy and organizers urge visitors to arrive early with grocery bags.

While distribution events are more aimed at the community, Bakersfield College also has an on-campus pantry open to all enrolled students Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
