Both Seals and Noah Malachi Hernandez, 20, “are responsible for multiple homicides and shootings in the Bakersfield area,” sheriff’s investigators said in court filings.

Among them, investigators say, is the Nov. 21, 2021, shooting of Jose De La Torre in the parking lot of the Taco Bell at 551 Weedpatch Highway.

A witness told investigators he and a teen accompanied De La Torre to the restaurant’s parking lot to either buy or sell something — he said he didn’t know what the item was.
