BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — At least one person was pinned in a vehicle and two others suffered minor injuries during a head-on crash on China Grade Loop Thursday morning, according to the CHP Traffic Incident Information Page.
The two-vehicle crash caused a white pickup truck to roll over and land on top of a pipe in a nearby oilfield. The impact of the crash detached the truck’s axle and crews are working on removing the truck from the pipeline, the page reported.
Bakersfield City Council aims to stop evictions
At least one person suffered major injuries in the crash. Two other people are reported to have minor injuries. It was not immediately known which victim was trapped in the pickup.
The crash happened just after 7 a.m. at the intersection of Getty Freeway and China Grade Loop.
