BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A body was found in a canal in central Bakersfield Monday.
Kern County Fire Department were dispatched to the Calloway Canal, just east of Buck Owens Boulevard around 4:30 p.m. on July 1.

When KCFD arrived, they located and recovered the body in the canal between Standard and Mohawk streets.

It was not immediately known if the person was a man or woman or how long the person may have been in the water.
