Scorching heat in excess of 100-degrees predicted across California’s Central Valley next week

The US National Weather Service in Hanford, California, reports a brief reprieve from extreme heat for the San Joaquin Valley.

For Tuesday, July 23rd, there’s a 90% probability that high temperatures will meet or exceed 106°F in Bakersfield and 104°F in Fresno, marking the hottest expected temperatures, the National Weather Service predicted.

However, the next few days will see relatively cooler temperatures, with probabilities for highs of 105°F or greater falling below 40% for much of the valley, the NWS added.

Residents should prepare for another warm-up starting early next week, with temperatures expected to rise above average once again.
