BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified the man who was struck by a piece of farming equipment at Wonderful Company’s Orchards on Monday.
Coroner officials say Felipe Reyes Garcia, 65, of Shafter was working at the Wonderful Orchards when he was struck by the farming equipment. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident was reported at 7:19 a.m. and he was pronounced dead about an hour later.
The Kern County Fire Department and state officials are investigating the incident.
