Two last-minute filings filled out races for Bakersfield City Council seats this week, giving Ward 6 residents four candidates from which to choose. Filing for most elected offices for the Nov. 5 election ended Friday, but because incumbents in the races for Wards 5 and 6 are not seeking reelection, the deadline for those races was extended to 5 p.m. Wednesday.
