1 arrested, 547 grams of narcotics seized in east Bakersfield: KCSO

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A man has been arrested after 547 grams of narcotics were discovered in a vehicle, according to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.

Louie Garcia, 45, was arrested Aug. 14 by deputies from the KCSO Gang Suppression Unit in the 900 block of Flower Street in east Bakersfield. Approximately 547 grams of methamphetamine, ammunition and indicia for narcotics sales were located during the traffic stop.

Garcia was arrested under suspicion of possession and transportation of a controlled substance for the purpose of sales, felon in possession of ammunition and participation in a criminal street gang.
