BPD arrests 2 teenagers after video of apparent bullying circulates social media

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Two teenagers have been arrested after an apparent bullying incident caught on camera circulated on social media.

Police say officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of Quartz Hill Road Tuesday for a battery report related to a video on social media depicting bullying.

Kern High School District officials assisted the police department in identifying the suspects, 14 and 15, seen in the video.

Both were arrested and booked into Juvenile Hall on suspicion of battery, false imprisonment and conspiracy.

The Bakersfield Police Department offers group presentations on anti-bullying and internet safety. To coordinate with the police department call 661-326-3053.
