Ticket prices increasing as prep ramps up for 8th annual Bakersfield Marathon

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The 8th Annual Bakersfield Marathon will be running through town before long and ticket prices are being raised on Sept. 4.

Marathon Board Member, Katie McDaris, joined 17 News at Noon to discuss an important deadline this weekend regarding the marathon.

“Register by yourself at runbakersfield.com, and you can also register with a team because there are some running groups that go together,” said McDaris. “Contact us, we will set you up with registration codes, team names… all of that.”

Board of Supervisors allocate over $1 million for expanded spay and neuter program

McDaris also reminds those interested of a price increase coming up Sept. 4, and urges residents to use this weekend to think about if they want to go to the marathon.

KGET is the proud media sponsor of the annual Boston-qualifying marathon, which includes a half marathon, 10K and 6K race starting at the Kern County Museum and winding through Downtown Bakersfield!
