Coroner identifies pedestrian killed by a train June 30

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A man who was struck and killed by a train in east Bakersfield has been identified by the Kern County Coroner’s Office.

Marques Anthony Morrison, 48, was struck by a train June 30 and pronounced dead on scene by officials. Morrison was found at 5:52 a.m., on the railroad tracks in the 700 block of Sumner Street.

Coroner officials determined the manner of death an accident. Union Pacific Railroad is investigating this incident.
