Honor Flight breakfast takes place in central Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Some military veterans beat the early morning heat Thursday with breakfast at the Elks Lodge in Bakersfield.

It was a packed house for the monthly Honor Flight Kern County breakfast on Sep. 5, with 17 News reporters on hand to deliver food to those who have served.

Board of Supervisors allocate over $1 million for expanded spay and neuter program

B.C. Ray Tire Sales sponsored Thursday’s breakfast.

“They not only sponsored today’s breakfast, but they also paid another $1,500 to send a veteran off to our nation’s capitol to see their memorials…how wonderful is that?” said Karen Galyan, Coordinator of the Honor Flight Breakfast.
