Help ‘Clear the Shelters’ at the Bakersfield Animal Care Center Sept. 7

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — You can help save the lives of deserving animals at the 10th annual “Clear the Shelters” event on Sept. 7.

All adoption fees will be waived at the Bakersfield Animal Care Center on Mount Vernon Avenue from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

National Waffle Day: Specialty Waffle Flight

17 News team will be at the shelter to encourage adoptions and, with your help, make a dent in Kern’s canine crisis.

There are over 300 dogs and 200 cats available for adoption.
