SpaceX preps for Vandenberg rocket launch on Sept. 12

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A Starlink mission is set for launch out of Vandenberg Space Force Base on Thursday.

On Sept. 12, SpaceX is planning on launching 21 Starlink satellites aboard a Falcon 9 rocket. Officials say 13 of the satellites will have ‘direct to cell’ capabilities. The satellites will be launched into low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 4, with backup opportunities available until 9:49 p.m.

Additional opportunities, if needed, will also be available on Friday, Sept. 13 at 6:35 p.m.
