The man who accused the Bakersfield Police Department of racial profiling and excessive force had his pretrial conference delayed Friday in Kern County Superior Court. Donte Heath was charged in April with driving without a seatbelt, not having an updated tab on his license plate and resisting arrest after he was pulled over for a traffic stop on New Year’s Eve at a motel on Oak Street. He pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
