SB Highway 99 backed up after semi and pick-up truck collision

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Southbound Highway 99 traffic is backed up after a semi-truck collided with a pick-up truck and overturned just south of California Avenue, according to the CHP Traffic Incident Information Page.

A semi-truck hauling carrots and pick up collided in the center divider around 5:39 a.m., the page reported. The truck is overturned creating traffic delays across southbound lanes.

Three lanes of southbound Highway 99 will remain open as environmental health officials clean up diesel and oil spilled from the collision.

No injuries have been reported. Expect delays.
