The Kern County coroner’s office identified a 21-year-old Bakersfield man who was found dead around 9:30 July 29 at Field Street, north of Georgetown Avenue in Lamont. Emanuel Gonzalez was shot and died but it is unknown what time the incident occurred, according to the coroner.
