2 arraigned in Panama St deadly shooting

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A man and woman arrested in connection with a deadly shooting on Panama Street made their first court appearance Tuesday.

Not guilty pleas were entered on behalf of Christopher Tovar, 33, and Lacey Guerra, 40. Both are facing charges including first-degree murder.

They’re due back in court Oct. 18 and are being held without bail.

Tovar had bruises to his face, swelling around his right eye.

The killing happened Friday, and it’s alleged shots were fired from a vehicle. The victim’s name had not been released as of Wednesday morning.
