BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A March trial date has been set for a 22-year-old man who was found nude and covered in blood after he allegedly stabbed four family members in northwest Bakersfield.
Daniel Keith Johnson is charged with four counts of attempted murder and a single count of mayhem in connection with the attack. His trial had been set for later this month, but was postponed Friday to March 3.

Johnson remains in custody without bail.
Early on Nov. 25, 2023, police arrived to find Johnson, naked and bloody, outside a home on Cherry Creek Lane, according to a probable cause declaration. They arrested him and discovered four people were wounded.

Three of Johnson’s family members had “moderate lacerations and superficial abrasions,” according to the declaration. The fourth had a cut on their neck 3 inches long and 3 inches wide, the filing says.
The cut was also 2 inches deep. The knife entered far enough it broke teeth, according to the declaration.
