BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Three drivers were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and one under the influence of PCP in a DUI checkpoint on Union Avenue on Friday.
Police say the checkpoint was located in the 200 block of Union Avenue on Friday from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Saturday.

In the checkpoint a total of 1,216 vehicles were screened.
In total, 29 drivers were cited for driving while unlicensed and 13 were cited for driving with a suspended license.

During the checkpoint, 33 vehicles were impounded and 11 vehicles were released to licensed drivers, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.
