Central California is bracing for significant weather as a cold front moves in this Veterans Day. A strong disturbance has already started affecting the region, bringing light rain to the San Joaquin Valley and snow to the Sierra Nevada. Expect up to 0.1 inches of rain in the northern valley and up to 4 inches of snow above 7,000 feet in the mountains, with a few spots potentially seeing 6 inches.
Winds are picking up too, with gusts expected to reach 45 mph in eastern Kern County. A Wind Advisory is in effect from 9 PM Monday until 7 AM Tuesday.
After this storm moves through, conditions will improve by Tuesday afternoon, but another round of cool, unsettled weather is expected late in the week. Stay tuned for updates as the storm progresses.
