BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A head-on collision briefly stopped traffic along Interstate 5 near 7th Standard Road Tuesday afternoon.
The collision was reported between an SUV and a semi-truck along northbound lanes of I-5 just south of 7th Standard Road just before noon, according to CHP’s Traffic Incident Information Page.

Two lanes of traffic were briefly blocked as emergency crews responded to the scene. The extent of any injuries to drivers or passengers were not immediately known.
According to the Traffic Incident Information Page, a gold-colored SUV spun out of control into northbound lanes colliding with the semi-truck. Traffic was backed up for miles to Hageman Road, CHP said.
Lanes were reopened just before 1 p.m.
