BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Bakersfield rang in the new year with dancing, music and style.
Much of the town was bustling with revelers. Buck Owens’ Crystal Palace and the Padre Hotel hosted events for people ready to party into 2025. And CALM hosted a slightly more tame event for families.

The Crystal Palace had music, a DJ playing hits for partygoers and at midnight — a balloon drop.
At the Iron Lilly, it looked more like 1985 than 2025 hosting an ’80s-themed party to wrap up 2024.
At CALM, things were slightly more calm with a family-friendly celebration with the ball drop at 9 p.m. — midnight on the East Coast — so kids can celebrate too.
