BAKERSFIELD, Calif., Jan. 2 (KNN) — A 39-year-old man is dead after a shooting in the 2100 block of Casa Loma Drive, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.
Officers responded to reports of gunshots just after 5 p.m. yesterday and found a victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Crime scene tape contained the area where a white sedan was observed with an opened driver’s door with bullet holes apparent in the shattered window. A semi-truck and pickup truck also appeared to be included in the scene. Multiple evidence markers lay scattered on the ground by the sedan.
Detectives and the Crime Scene Unit are investigating, and no suspect information is available at this time.
