BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – The California Highway Patrol told Eyewitness News they are investigating a deadly crash that left one person dead on Saturday night. The CHP said a driver was going southbound on Highway 99, and for an unknown reason, the driver veered off the freeway and into a tree, just north of Bear Mountain Blvd.
