The City of Bakersfield is hosting a pop-up large item drop-off event on Saturday, Jan. 11 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Bakersfield Municipal Airport at 2000 S. Union Ave.

Residents can drop-off large, bulky, space-taking items from their homes. Organizers are accepting items like furniture, mattresses, box springs, electronics like TVs, computers, computer monitors, water heaters and barbeque grills without a propane tank.
The city asks residents to not take propane tanks, construction debris, materials, items that contain refrigerant, hazardous materials or waste or items weighing more than 300 pounds…
