The southbound lanes of Freeway 5 near east Los Angeles were covered in broken eggs on Monday morning. A semi-truck overturned, and spilled a trailer full of fresh, expensive eggs.

Police officers tried not to crack up as they slipped in the yolks. According to Hoodline , the accident occurred around 6 AM and traffic was backed up for hours. Only one lane was reopened by 6:50 am as clean-up crews tried to work quickly for busy yolks commuting to work.
