Carnival and Royal Caribbean Tighten Age Rules for Young Adult Travelers

Cruise lines Carnival and Royal Caribbean have updated their age restriction policies, affecting young adult travelers hoping to sail solo, according to a local media report in Raleigh-Durham, NC.

According to ABC 11, passengers must now be at least 21 years old to travel alone, a change from the previous minimum age of 18. Carnival goes further, requiring travelers under 21 to be accompanied by someone 25 or older.
