Human remains located near Kern County Soccer Park, officials unable to identify victim: coroner

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Parts of a dead body were discovered in northeast Bakersfield over the weekend, according to the Kern County Coroner’s Office.

Unidentified human remains were located March 15 in the 9400 block of Alfred Harrell Highway, after Bakersfield police officers responded to the scene. The remains were discovered in the foothills southwest of the soccer park at about 6:55 p.m., and the department says the circumstances surrounding the discovery has been suspicious.
