BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Police on Monday found a man dead with an apparent gunshot wound in an area of the Kern riverbed east of the Chester Avenue bridge.
The body was found at about 9:45 a.m. after officers responded to a call of an “unknown situation,” according to a Bakersfield Police Department release. Homicide detectives were called to the scene.
