BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A McFarland man who disappeared four years ago was shot and his body disposed of after being accused of stealing a car, according to statements provided to police.
A witness reported Oscar Oliva was killed in a backyard by Ray Anthony Sanchez on April 8, 2021, and his body placed in a trash can then covered with grass clippings, according to reports filed by McFarland police investigators. The following day, Sanchez took the body to an unknown location and burned it, the witness said.

Sanchez, 38, was charged with first-degree murder earlier this month. He’s currently in prison for an unrelated crime, and is due in court April 15.
It’s alleged Sanchez accused Oliva of stealing his car from an impound lot in McFarland. Oliva denied it and called Sanchez “crazy,” after which Sanchez shot him twice, according to the reports…
