Manhunt Underway in Napa: Suspect Accused of Assaulting Minor Evades Sentencing, Last Seen Near Delano

The Napa Police Department has issued a manhunt alert for 39-year-old Antonio Roman-Vega, who Napa County Probation wants. Roman-Vega, who was awaiting sentencing on serious charges of assault of a minor with the intent to commit rape, managed to elude authorities by an untold method sometime in November before receiving a 25-year sentence. While the precise details of his disappearance remain cloaked, we know he was last electronically tethered to a location in Earlimart, near Delano.

When Roman-Vega went missing, he was supposedly under the vigilant watch of a GPS monitoring device. This device was last pinged on November 8, betraying its final resting place amid a retaining pond, its wearer’s whereabouts dwindling into obscurity. According to the Napa Police Department, deputies from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office plunged into a search of the vicinity. However, they came out empty-handed, with the elusive Roman-Vega still at large.
