Petition started by Bakersfield moms for school traffic safety reaches 1K signatures

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Three Bakersfield mothers who all lost sons while they were crossing the street have created a petition and the petition has now reached over a thousand signatures.

The moms say they created the petition in hopes that traffic enforcement will come about to school drop-off and pick-up zones.

One of the moms, Josefina Rosel has been nominated as “Supermom of the Year.” If she wins, she will have a two-page spread in the Women’s World Magazine, $20,000 and a trip to the Napa Valley.
