Firefighter Rescues Goat Trapped by Flames Consuming Bakersfield Home

BAKERSFIELD, Calif., Apr. 7 (KNN) — A structure fire broke out at a residence in the 3000 block of Erwin Street early Sunday morning, where a firefighter found a goat that needed to be rescued.

The Bakersfield Fire Department received a call at 2:55 a.m. reporting a house engulfed in flames, with possibly two juveniles trapped inside.

Upon arrival, firefighters discovered the juveniles had escaped and were outside the residence. One firefighter rescued a goat trapped in the blaze during the firefighting efforts.
