BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A search by BPD officers and K9 Jack ended with tar heroin and fentanyl being seized during a traffic stop and one person arrested. Two search warrants were also executed because of the traffic stop.
The Bakersfield Police Department said on April 16th, 2025, at around 2 p.m., officers from the Impact Unit conducted a traffic stop near Taft Highway and Highway 99.
BPD said with the help of Bakersfield Police K9 Jack, they found about 1.5 pounds of tar heroin and fentanyl and $1,413.
With the assistance of the BPD Narcotics Unit, Violent Criminal Apprehension Team, Unmanned Aircraft Systems Team, and agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration, search warrants related to this traffic stop were executed in the 3000 block of Taft Highway and the 200 block of Oswell Street.
