Bakersfield embraces Earth Day 661 as Robinsons bring sustainability passion to community

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Earth Day may be on Tuesday, but a local couple decided to launch their version of Earth Day 661 last year.

On Saturday, over 70 venders were on display as the event aimed to celebrate the community and embrace one another.

Jay and Natasha Robinson saw a passion for others to connect with Mother Earth, thus launching their version of Earth Day in 2014 in Los Angeles County. Just last year, they relocated to Bakersfield and were shocked by the warm reception they got from the community…
