‘They’re perfectly imperfect’; guitars built with wood from burned down “Trout’s” honky-tonk echo the music played within its walls

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — You’d look at the empty lot on the corner of North Chester Avenue and Decatur Street and think nothing of it. But it used to be home to one of Bakersfield’s most historic bars, dubbed “Trout’s”, which was destroyed in a fire three years ago.

But to rise from the ashes, it must first burn. And the fire that destroyed Trout’s gives birth to perhaps the most unique collection of guitars you’ll ever see.

And on Saturday, they returned home…
