BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — In Matthew 28:5, the angel speaks to the three Marys who come to visit the tomb of Jesus on the third day, telling them to not be afraid. In Matthew 28:6, the angel says, “He is not here; he has risen.”
And thus, the story of Jesus Christ’s resurrection was told, and Easter Sunday as we know it is celebrated still thousands of years later.
