BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The California Highway Patrol is set to host free car seat checks by appointment on Monday.
The car seat checks are scheduled for May 12 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the CHP Bakersfield Office, located at 9855 Compagnoni Street.

CHP encouraged parents and guardians to bring their children along with their car seats. Specially trained child safety seat technicians will be there to inspect the car seats, according to CHP.
